We are one of the UK's leading suppliers of architectural aluminium profiles within the construction

industry as well as being one of the UK’s leading suppliers of waterproofing solutions, predominantly

for flat roofs. Due to our continued expansion and significant investment, we are seeking an

experienced and highly organised Workshop Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our

aluminium fabrication facility, based in Coatbridge, Scotland.

This is a permanent position and salary will be dependent on experience.

Working hours: 39.5 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 8.00am - 4.00pm / Fri 8.30am - 4.00pm

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management and will be

responsible for managing all aspects of the production process, from scheduling and coordinating

production activities to ensuring that quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products

• Supervise and provide guidance to production staff to ensure that production targets are

met

• Implement and enforce quality control standards to meet customer specifications

• Manage and oversee equipment maintenance and repair to minimise downtime and ensure

optimal performance

• Develop and implement production processes and procedures to improve efficiency and

reduce waste

• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production activities and meet customer

demand

• Train and mentor production staff to enhance their skills and performance

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures in the workplace

• Prepare production reports and analyse production data to identify areas for improvement

Essential:

• Previous and recent experience in aluminium metal sheet fabrication

• Supervision of a workshop

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Knowledge in sheet metal CNC machinery, powder coating and the ability to read technical

drawings

• Good IT/Microsoft skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment
